Microsoft Copilot Cowork for personal accounts(Preview)

The current personal execution object is Cowork Preview; officials said that the original personal Copilot Tasks will be moved in in the next few weeks. Enterprise Microsoft 365 Cowork has another GA path and cannot be used as a measurement object for the personal version.

Limitations: The migration page does not give a complete completion date and does not claim that all accounts have been migrated.

Tasks sessions can be moved in, but memories are not; old shared links become invalid; scheduled tasks are closed by default after being moved in. The original document/slideshow/application is converted to Pages, and the application data is saved independently and disconnected.

Personal Microsoft account subscribes to Microsoft365 Premium or Pro; web, Microsoft Copilot desktop and mobile app. Personal/Family users can view old Tasks, but are not eligible for new execution. The complete matrix of regions and languages ​​has not been verified.

The current personal plan page is Premium USD19.99/month or 199.99/year; Microsoft365 Pro USD99.99/month is the new plan name here. AI rights can only be used by the subscription owner, and the six-person family license cannot be counted as six agent seats.

Premium is limited agent usage, and Pro has the highest limit; the fixed monthly number of individual Cowork tasks, excess unit price, and single task billing formula were not found.

Limitations: Do not apply corporate Copilot Credits or Autopilot volume-based prices to individuals.

You can schedule one-time or periodic tasks, confirm before activation, and then pause/edit/cancel; you can view waiting for input, running, completed and scheduled in Mytasks. Personal event trigger list not found.

Continuous multi-step execution and display of task progress; the current web page operation uses the local Edge to log in to the website, and the remote browser is listed as coming soon. The mobile phone can initiate/follow up and does not prove to control the mobile phone OS.

Current information clarifies local Edge and Microsoft cloud file workflows; any native file systems, other desktop apps, or full Windows/Mac computer-use permissions have not been verified.

The personal version can draft, reply, send, and operate the calendar through the connected mailbox; important actions need to be reviewed. No clear commitment to the personal version of the independent agent's email/phone number was found.

Limitations: Announced in September, Autopilot’s independent identity, memory, and workspace are private previews for corporate tenants and cannot be applied.

Clear support for OneDrive and Microsoft personal email/calendar and document output; enterprise Teams, SharePoint, and organizational search are only available in the work/school column. Personally customized MCP, public task API, and any third-party write matrix have not been verified.

The new personal Copilot can manage saved memories, delete individual items/all or turn off personalization; turning off does not automatically delete. Bing/Edge/MSN shared memory switch is listed separately. The original Tasks memory will not be migrated.

The conversation can be text, voice, upload files/select OneDrive, and currently the maximum input is 16,000 characters; text messages and email chat after Tasks migration are not currently available.

It can research and generate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF across files, and organize emails and presentations; the personal version of the dedicated Code experience was announced on September 25 that it is still later this year and cannot be considered as available.

Limitations: Generating code text/files generally does not mean that a Code-specific local engineering environment has been created; the scope of audio and video editing is unknown.

Approval documents listed for payment, submission of personal information, impact on others/accounts, etc. need to be confirmed; some website purchases/appointments must be completed by the user. Not all merchants can handle unattended transactions.

The current personal joint control/sharing agent permissions and the number of concurrent tasks are unknown; custom skill creation/sharing documents are clearly only for work/school and cannot be counted as personal abilities.

Skill activities/progress are displayed step by step, and directions can be added during execution, paused, resumed/cancelled immediately after the next step, and files can be reviewed in the output panel. No full action rollback or success SLA found.

Previews are displayed before actions; sending letters, writing files, calendaring, etc. can require approval, and some permissions for scheduled tasks can be provided during setup. Login and some site actions are returned to the user.

The privacy document applicable to the new version of personal Copilot/Cowork starting from August 18, 2026 states: Tips, answers and files are not used for basic model training; activities can be exported/delete through the privacy dashboard.

Limitations: This is not a uniform policy for all historical versions of old personal Copilot.; The precise retention period, failure logs and third-party data flows have not been verified at this time.
